Arthur Young – Chairman

Arthur is a consultant to Chapman Tripp, having practiced law for more than 60 years. Prior to stepping down as partner, he was believed to be the longest-serving partner in New Zealand’s legal profession. He has wide governance experience with both private and public companies, together with decades of experience with property development and investment.

Kim Barrett

Kim has 30 years’ experience in the property development and construction industry. He has been Managing Director of Haydn & Rollett, one of the few truly vertically integrated construction, development and property companies in New Zealand, since 2010. In this role he is responsible for managing the relationship between Ergon Properties and Haydn & Rollett.

Sam Bufton

Sam is one of the founding directors of Ergon’s predecessor. He has had over 45 years’ experience in property development and construction, initially with a significant New Zealand construction company and then as the fourth Managing Director of Haydn & Rollett. Among many other skills, he brings to the board a strong customer-first mindset.

Kitt Littlejohn

Kitt is a qualified lawyer with 28 years’ post-admission experience, specialising in resource management, property and public law and related regulatory areas. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of resource management and development procedures in New Zealand, litigation strategy and risk.

Fleur Hawkins

Fleur Hawkins

Fleur has over 20 years of experience in managing commercial property companies and assets held in industrial, office, healthcare and retail sectors. She brings a wide range of knowledge from management, operations and projects, leasing, financial performance and reporting to this role.

Manager

Management of Ergon Properties has been in the hands of Haydn & Rollett Properties Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Haydn & Rollett Limited) since Ergon Properties commenced under its prior name in 2011.

Management Team

Kim Barrett represents the interest of the Management on the Board of Ergon Properties Limited. In addition to Kim, the following key personnel are part of the Management Team:
– Fleur Hawkins, General Manager
– Jason Kearns, Chief Financial Officer
– Surya Seger, Property and Development Accountant
– Steven Mercer, Property Manager

The Manager also engages with specialist advisers and services to enhance the operation of the property fund. These include:
– Bancorp – Treasury and finance advice
– Computershare – Administration of the Share Registry
– PwC – Specialist tax and financial modelling advice
– Chapman Tripp – Capital raising, bank financing and property legal advice
– Property Valuation advice – A rotating pool of registered valuers are used to value the properties either annually or for large equity raises. They are Colliers International, Jones Lang LaSalle, CBRE and Savills.
