Located on a major entry point to Auckland’s CBD, the so-called ‘Slider Building’ is an A-grade, four-level office complex that more than lives up to its high-profile city fringe site. Built in 2010 as an integral element of the redevelopment of the Carlaw Park Precinct, it achieved a four-star Green Building Council rating through features such as full-height acoustic glass to create lots of natural light and controlled lighting and air conditioning. Given the amount of glazing in the façade and close proximity of busy rail and road links, particular attention was paid to acoustic design and treatment, with specialists Marshall Day involved in the design process from early on.

Main floor plates range from 1800 to 2100 m², with 800 m² on the ground floor. Three lifts provide access to all office floors, and the complex is fully sprinklered.
